How long have you been in the construction industry? 

I have been part of the construction industry since 2021. My career began with a Precast Concrete Company, where I gained practical experience during my college placement before progressing to a full-time role as a Quality Controller. After completing my studies, I began a Degree Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying while studying for my Bachelor’s degree, gaining experience across both PQS and Contractor roles. I am now an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Fox Construction Solutions.

What do you enjoy most about your role? 

I enjoy being part of a friendly, welcoming team where everyone works together to keep projects running smoothly and on track. The supportive atmosphere makes it a great place to learn and grow, and the variety of projects we work on keeps things interesting and rewarding every day.

Career highlight or project that you are most proud of?

Although I’m still early in my career, I’m proud to be completing a Degree Apprenticeship in Quantity Surveying. It’s rewarding to be gaining hands-on experience while working towards my degree and developing my skills within the industry.

What is your passion outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active by going to the gym and taking my dog on long walks, often exploring new places along the way. I love travelling and experiencing different places and cultures, whether it’s a weekend away or a holiday abroad. Spending quality time with my family and friends is also really important to me.
