How long have you been in the construction industry?
44 years. Started my career as an apprentice Carpenter/Joiner before going self-employed for 15 years, alongside a career within the education sector, teaching construction and then transitioning to estates project management before returning to construction management in 2025.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
No two days are the same, building relationships with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to help guide projects from start to finish. The diversity and adaptation of new technologies never cease to amaze me.
Career highlight or project that you are most proud of.
There have been many over the course of my career however most recently the project I am most proud of was overseeing the 12. 5-million-pound redevelopments of a whole college campus.
What is your passion outside of work?
I enjoy playing golf and watching Rugby alongside spending quality family time.
