Building on the success of our original Seaton Mezzanine project for Truro College, which featured a steel frame supporting a suspended concrete floor to accommodate PV panels and heat pump systems aimed at enhancing student learning around renewable and green construction, we delivered a significant extension that doubled the available floor space.

The Seaton Extension provided new classrooms and workshops by removing an existing steel-framed tented structure, extending the mezzanine floor, and constructing a new steel frame with fully insulated composite cladding, a single-ply flat roof, and upgraded windows and doors. Inside, we created a modern classroom fully integrated with the college’s IT and data networks, alongside a large, purpose-built workshop for the carpentry department.

These new facilities play a vital role in equipping the next generation of construction professionals with the knowledge and tools to lead the way in a greener future, and at Fox Construction Solutions, we’re proud to have played a part in making them a reality.
